What do you do when your ideal candidates overlook you because they are dazzled by your big-name, global talent competitors?
Even before leaving uni or TAFE, candidates hear first and more consistently about the famous global brands and not so much about local Australian brands. This familiarity often creates irrational expectations among candidates that makes it difficult for local organisations to compete for the best people.
We conducted research among new and experienced Dulux employees to better understand these career path misconceptions and specifically how the Dulux employment experience delivered what ideal candidates actually wanted.
Armed with these insights, we refreshed the careers site structure, content and candidate experience – and developed engaging videos to tackle these misconceptions. Importantly, we also provided the Dulux TA Team with a story matrix to enable them internally to easily curate and publish employee stories and employee experience content on social media to organically continue tackling these misconceptions.
